16th and 17th century castle, fully restored, with 8 double bedrooms with private bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and large living room. 3 self-catering gites, 1 gite for 2/4 people, 1 gite for 4 people and 1 gite for 2 people with reduced mobility access. We aquired the estate in 2010. After having visited many wine estates, on the last day of our trip we have been blown away by Château de Minière. As my husband, Sigurd Mareels, works in the mine industry, the name of the château played a fundamental choice. After 7 years of renovation and restoration of the Château with all the modern comfort combined with a respect for the original style, we are very pleased to welcome you at our organic wine estate. The Château de Minière cultivates 29ha of vines including 2ha of old (very old) vines from 90 to 110 years. The king grape cultivated by Kathleen is the Cabernet Franc which she then vinifies to propose 8 cuvées (red and rosé) and a grape juice: wines of the appellation Bourgueil 100% Cabernet! Today, the winemaker strives to respect its soils and the biodiversity present in the vineyard. The Château de Minière was awarded the Organic Agriculture label (by Ecocert).
