Domaine & Demeure was founded in 2008 by Karl O’Hanlon to pursue a vision of authentic and sustainable real estate and tourism, with a particular emphasis on the restoration of ‘sleeping giant’ wine estates and other historic building. The restoration and operation of châteaux, wine estates and other character buildings as exceptional destinations, retaining and enhancing their essential purpose and character, integrated with and respectful of the local environment – natural, social, cultural and economic. The activity is shared in 2 parts : estate agency and touristic development. Domaine & Demeure shakes the classical codes of luxury hotels, breaking the usual codes and offer a new concept for high level tourism in France. To offer the comfort and the services of a luxury hotel with private villas in a cool and chic spirit. Domaine & Demeure owns at the moment 2 estates with one more project for 2020. Those jewels are the result of th epartnership between the winemaker Laurent Bonfils and the irish hotel manager Karl et Anita O’Hanlon (Domaine & Demeure) who put all their strength to the rebirth of Languedoc since many years.
