From April to October, share the intimacy of a wine estate with its 18th century family house set in the vineyards, the guest house cultivates charm and authenticity; in the heart of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation obtained during the classification of Saint-Emilion wines in 1954. Located at only 1km from the village, you will be able to reach it by the paths crossing the vineyard. Inhabited by hundred-year-old trees, the place breathes the sweetness of life and promises a soothing encounter with nature.
The Château benefits from an exceptional diversity of terroirs. The passionate men and women present on site apply themselves to create a wine that subtly expresses this richness and reveals all its character. You will stay in their atypical accommodation with an exceptional view on the vineyard and a direct access to the swimming pool.
During this stay for two people, favourable to the appeasement, the meeting with the nature; you can realize hikes, discover the villages, the markets with the local producers and discover the beauty of the village of Saint-Emilion located at 1km of your accommodation. During this unusual escapade, we propose to discover the wines of the Castle where you stay through a private visit and commented tasting of 3 wines (reservation in advance). A second private visit and commented tasting will also take place in a nearby winery.
We offer activities: gourmet, oenological and connected with nature.
On the day of your arrival (Day 1), we invite to pick up the keys to your atypical accommodation in the afternoon. For dinner, we suggest that you drive a few minutes to the Restaurant le Tertre. In the heart of Saint-Emilion, in one of the most picturesque streets of this magnificent medieval village. This address is recognized in the region as an essential gourmet reference. This elegant and intimate restaurant offers you an innovative cooking full of emotions and rich in flavor; while being in the perpetual approach of an eco-responsible cooking. Return to your accommodation and spend a pleasant night in your cabin where the atypical and the comfort are perfectly combined.
The next day (Day 2), after a rich and gourmet continental breakfast, we suggest you join the cellar of the estate at the end of the morning for a private visit of the vineyard and a commented tasting of three wines, appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Spend the rest of the day strolling around Saint-Emilion, (restaurant suggestions for your lunch and dinner possible). Did you know? Saint-Emilion is the first village listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Since 1999, the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion is registered as a "cultural landscape". The recognition of a territory by UNESCO is a world first for a vineyard! It is thus a very particular place that you are about to discover!
Ideally on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays (Day 3), take advantage of the Libourne market, located about fifteen minutes from your accommodation. Meet the local producers and taste some of their specialties on the colorful stalls. Between the perfume of the cheeses, the voices of the producers and the warmth of a "baguette" coming out of the oven, the land knows how to speak to the gourmets. At the end of the afternoon, we will meet you at a second organic wine estate for a private visit and commented tasting; located near your accommodation. The property has historically always been operated with a method now classified as "organic". Thanks to this method associated with a polyculture (market gardening, orchards, wood, breeding) privileging the original species/grape varieties, the estate has allowed the preservation of rare faunistic and floristic species which contribute to make it an exceptional place (suggestions of restaurants for your lunch and dinner possible).
During your fourth day (Day 4), enjoy the surroundings andplan your day, according to your time, your desires (we remain of course available to help you in this organization: suggestions of activities, restaurants, villages to discover, hikes...). Enjoy your last night in your unusual accommodation. To close this atypical stay, relaxing and rich in local discoveries, we propose you (Day 5) a lunch at "La Terasse Rouge" (closed on Wednesdays) Table of the Château La Domique, in Saint-Emilion. The Michelin Guide (notice) describes this address as being "leaning against the old mansion, dressed in red stainless steel blades, this scarlet cathedral is signed Jean Nouvel. You eat lunch in a vast panoramic, with bay windows facing the vineyards of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol." Live a unique experience!
